Thought the first episode was trying too hard although I know many of you enjoyed it.
Episode 2 however really grabbed the pace of the original series keeping the real balance between humour and drama.

Ok - I thougjht E3 continued the trend of the series getting better.
There were some classic moments - and I thought Ray was superb in this one - how funny was he at the fancy dress party!?!
;D

Not in the same league as Life On Mars but worth watching for the odd Gene Hunt moment.

I thik the series is living up to expectations and the tension between Gene and Bolly knickers is building nicely

KEEPS ON GETTING BETTER AND BETTER
Ray's bad cop good cop was superb!
This is really getting into gear now - and there's a couple of sequences that point to a very dark outcome to this riveting series.
Anyway, What a difference to episode one!
P.S. CHAT UP LINE OF THE SERIES: "So what are you? a C or a D cup?" ;D

Can't really see this going to a second season. They've done a lot to tie everything up for the last episode (much more than life on Mars) and given Keeley Hawes has been slated in her role (although I reckon she's not that bad). Glennister is going on to do some Van Helsing thing for ITV due for release this autumn. Hopefully better than Primeval. God I do hope.

*** Contains Spoilers ***
OK so it is getting a second season.
And has a serious chance of making Life on Mars make no particular sense...
As how has Gene Hunt failed to age and why is she trying to stop something she knows isn't going to happen.
Last 20 minutes of the last episode were well handles but that hardly makes up for the pish that the first 40 contained.

Life on Mars was genius, Ashes to Ashes was good. Think the twist was good on Ashes to Ashes.

From Wikipedia - "In an interview with SFX, series co-creator and executive producer Matthew Graham stated that he is considering making a 3D episode for the show's third series."
I personally think it should end this series - it's been good, but is in danger of overstaying it's welcome IMO.
