To the usual suspects..... I know it's early doors but I'll hopefully be carrying on the old tradition and organising "Ricky's cheap & cheerful xmas lunch", otherwise known as the "Ryrie's" lunch. The only difference this year - 2008 - (and hopefully in following years) is that we will be ex-employees and scattered to the 4 corners of Auld Reekie and possibly beyond. The venue is obviously unknown at present - the world is our lobster - but seeing as we are all going to be mega rich owing to all our large packages...ooohh matron!!... I propose we stretch the budget up to £10.00 per skull. Watch this space.

Mmm.... i thought that we could up the ante and spend a bit more, perhaps go somewhere a bit special this year . how about a trip on the Orient Express or a two day shopping trip to New York having Xmas Lunch at some over- priced posh hotel on broadway. Maybe even take in a show.Oh how wonderful that would be, would make a change from lunching in the pubic triangle (Oo er missus)

Not sure about that Carol! I agree with Tiddles - I think we could stretch to a £10 lunch!!! - Just as long as it doesn't interfere to much with our drinking time of course! ;D

May I be the first to suggest the "Jim McCallum Dinner" at Howies. Only £6.95 per person for the food, and £9 for corkage. ;D

That would be great, I may not have another xmas club by then.

Christmas became so expensive in the office, what with collections for decorations every year and the spiralling cost of lunches. This year of course we'll all be spending every spare pound on heating!
