I have checked the board for signs of life..to no avail !!. I know some will be at work and others will be on their hols...perhaps.
I am still on the job hunt, although I have applied for a permanent post within the CAB (here's hoping!)...watch this space, I'll let you know.

Really sorry Muz. Not been on for a while as I too am on the job hunt. Have an interview on 10th Aug with Scottish Courts Service and have a few other applications in. One with the Scottish Parliament but not got anything yet. Good luck with your hunt. I am also taking driving lessons and loving it. Got my theory tomorrow ;D.

I have some good news.....I have been given the opportunity - which I have accepted to do one morning a week (4 hours) paid work. The work entails administrative help for the Money Advice Worker - data input, filing and some typing of letters to clients.
I hope that this will open the door to the permanent job at the Citizens Advice Bureau which is 20 hours a week. The interviews for that position are on the 13th of August......watch this space.

I have got through to the interview stage...it's on Thursday 13th August at 2:15pm, here's hoping, I'm cautiously optimistic. I will let you know the outcome.

Unfortunately, I was unsuccessful. I am naturally disappointed with the outcome. I was a bit low at first, I'll just have to pick myself up and move on.

I got some positive feedback, seven people were interviewed for the position. I was told that my interview was impressive and that I anticipated all the questions that were put to me. Three of those that were interviewed (including me) were very strong candidates and that they had to give to the person with a wider range of experience. Ahh, well onwards and upwards.....
