Well that was a shocker 
I wasn't a fan as such but he sure had talent as an artist and his family and legion of fans must be feeling so devastated. He was unique and will have left a gap which nobody else could fill for them. I wonder if he ever really felt at peace in this life. There is so much about his complex mental state which will never be understood.
No doubt the media will go over the top as always and try to make him into a god. He was a very flawed and dysfunctional human being in many ways and just happened to have enough talent and luck to make enough money to be able to live as he did; the world will probably never know to what extent that was a good or bad thing.
Let's hope people can retain a sense of perspective and enjoy the many positive contributions he made to the world of entertainment.
