Well, recently a group of boffins discovered that those annoying tunes that stick in your brain - the ones that won't go away !!!!.
The term for that is ........EARWORM.
for example : The "Birdie Song".
Blast ........I've got that.........Grrrrrrr !!.

I get it regularly and always with songs I really hate. The current one playing in my lug is The Promise by Girls Aloud - that song really gets on my wick big time! Previous offenders include "achy breaky heart" and "You Raise Me up".
