Not available the 15th either - usual excuse girly night out - but for once it may not coincide! Happy with 22nd or 29th, happy with Shakespeares. If it comes off - look forward to seeing everyone

How very dare you. Just cos i have watched it every year since 1968 you assume I will watch it this year! And the 29th is out too as I will be preparing for another highbrow cultural event. Girls Aloud at the SECC. Sheer class. Well at least its a better excuse than its my trains birthday

Since I posted that Friday nights are OK for me, they're now not - I'm starting as a volunteer with Radio Grapevine at St.John's hospital. Would love to have come along but I guess I'm going to have to stick to checking into the Neuk every now and then.

That comment re the train was more than a little uncalled for, hibee. We all have interests that are important to us and I'd love to know if you'd have made a similar remark if I'd said I couldn't come along because I was at a gala dinner for Queen of the South F.C. or was on a hot date with this really cute guy I've got to know and am missing tomorrow's match at Livingston to meet. Actually half the Neuk will queue up to slag me off about the Queens but frankly my dear ......

Im sorry if the remark about the train was taken like that. The post was poking fun at my own musical likes. The train remark was meant to be sarcastic but aimed at myself. Cal I apologise to you if any offence was taken because it certainly wasnt intended

Hi and thank you for that. I would just like to clarify that I knew nothing about Doonhamer's post until after it appeared on the board. I'm very thankful that I have such loyal friends but the last thing I would want is for there to be any ill feeling on here. I was poking a bit of fun at myself when I said that about my train's birthday in the first place. I admit I did mention it in a text message to Doonhamer when I was already feeling a bit hacked off about other things unconnected to the board; it was a passing remark to a friend on a bad day and if I had a serious problem with it I would have posted something myself. I truly appreciate Doonhamer's loyalty but honestly there are no hard feelings. And Girls Aloud rock! (Though I'm more of a fan of Pink myself.)

I would prefer the 29th May, but could also make the 22nd, as the Candle party I was going to has now been cancelled.!!

I like the idea of the 29th - as that might suit some folks looking forward to payday! and what pray tell is a "Candle party" (knowing I'll regret this) - must be some strange thing you lot do in the sticks yes? - and does it invlolve the ritual slaughtering of chickens? ;D

slaughtering of chickens!! what are you talking about? Although we do have a donkey which is sometimes taken for a walk around the village. I kid you not!!! A candle party as you could probably guess is along the same lines as a Tupperware party( and we all know what that is) ;D. I suppose the candles would have a life long guarantee like Tupperware, unless you light them of course. It's just a good excuse to get together for a girlie night, with food and drink(lots of it) included of course. Hope to be there on the 29th. Sx

When I first read this I thought "YES - another Kay 3.00am post!" - but 8.45am...boo... So I guess there's a story involving horses and cars that I don't know about? Anyway - hope you make it along Mrs Sixx!
