Is anyone watching this? I only vaguely remember the original but the new version seems to be just as good fun. Shane Ritchie is ideal for the part of Archie Daley. I hope that some of the original characters do make a guest appearance in the future.

Well call me an old stick in the mud  - but I don't think it's a shade on the old one - having said that, I only watched the 1st episode... so maybe it gets better. I hear there aren't any surprise appearances in this 1st season, but they haven't apparently ruled out doing one if it gets to a second season..  |

I watched it - only because my beloved Rik (comedy husband ) Mayall was in it! Thought it was mediocre but since when did episode 1 of any series dictate it's popularity? Don't think this will last the test of time - and in tv time moves faster than a bullet - but if they can get Meera Sayal (hope that's how you spell it) it's a good sign she was in the first episode. Mood - hopeful!
