It's nearly time for the final farewell to the DBC. 10 of us are heading to the Point Hotel for lunch on the Friday then next door to the Chanter. Anyone who wants to meet up will find us from about 3pm onwards in the Chanter.

I did get there and enjoyed it.....hic.....burp !. I awoke this morning feeling fragile for some reason, I think it was the cheesy chips or something ?.

It was great to see the last few to leave, great evening pity I could not stay later. Nice to see all and yet sad, as this was the last event of the DBC!

Glad it went well, and the weather was lovely that day too. I was on my way up to... oh you can all probably guess for yourselves! ;D I got unexpected compensation vouchers from a delay I experienced on the trains in July (I'd given up on hearing back from them) and as Monday just past was a holiday I figured it was as good a time as any to go back up and complete some gift shopping I hadn't been able to undertake on my last visit as being up for a whole week that time it would have been too much to carry with all my luggage.
