40 places have been booked at the Italian restaurant L'Amore D'Italia for lunch at 1.30pm on Fri 29th Aug.It is situated opposite where Fat Sams used to be. they do a lunchtime special two courser for £6.95 or u can go A'La Carte
We have also reserved the back bar in the Shakespeare from 4pm onwards and are expecting about 90 people approx so we will need the whole area and have arranged for a buffet to be put out at 6.30pm
Apologies for not consulting everyone but tough sh*t, sorry I mean we felt that we had to move quickly to secure the bookings.
Can you please let Ian Doig know whether or not u will attend the lunch/Shakespeare ASAP so that we can finalise numbers. Not that we r desperate but any ex employees, friends or family are welcome to meet us in the Shakespeare and we rely on you to contact to let them know.
There may well be some side attractions like ' First to neck Ian Doig' or ' first to throw up after the buffet'. U just never know ;D

Well I'll be leaving the buffet well alone!!! Can you let the Doigster know I'll be at the Shakespeare later - got another lunch date though... Well done in getting this sorted - and you'll be getting no complaints from me. I think it would be impossible to please everyone this time anyway.

Let's just hope that the "first to neck Ian Doig" and "first to throw up" prizes are not won by the same person and if they are, for Ian's sake let's hope it is in that order! I will have only just returned from Inverness so won't be able to make the main booked events; I have personal arrangements that day too but I look forward to hearing all the news and seeing the photos on here.

I will be unable to attend the swansong event. The reason is I will be involved in my first job interview that afternoon !!.
I am slightly nervous about the interview as it will be my first one for over 20 years - here's hoping.
I hope everyone " behaves " themselves and that I don't read about it in the papers !!.
HAVE A GOOD TIME ONE AND ALL!.

I hope the interview went well. I can relate to how you would be feeling and wish you the best of luck. Check out Muz' photos of the night out. They are excellent.

Good meal, quick service and no complaints, apart from Ian trying to diddle the bill, ha ha.

OK I'm cheating a wee bit with this one and got here with the aid of a few gratuitous toot-toots here and there but I'm not the only one Happy posting everyone, seriously I'm really glad to see the board becoming so lively and successful.

I was just back from holiday and didn't want to be all post-Invernessian and emotional. I had other things on that day but knew I'd catch up on all the news one way and another.

True. I believe it's 3pm onwards in the Chanter tomorrow for the final final exodus.
