Right, 3rd time lucky at typing this up - tried twice before & the bloody thing just disappeared mid sentence!! Anyway, Texan bars made a comeback. I had one but it was a disappointment. Closest thing i've had to cremola foam was a cocktail in TGI Friday called silver mercedes, a bit like an adult version with some kind of booze topped with orange sorbet. Served in one of those goldfish bowl affairs that you get on med holidays. Oddbins do a good range of flavoured vodka but Harvey Nicks do the best variety. Slightly more expensive but they often have things there you cant find anywhere else. Like fairly low grade vodka in a beautiful presentation bottle with a stream of multi coloured crystals floating in the middle! Would say it makes a nice gift but i suppose if you gave that to a vodka enthusiast you'd end up wearing it - in response to the money you could've spent on a really good quality bottle instead.

OK time for a reply from one of the oldies . I remember Cresta, it was vile. Alright, I suppose it was ok for it's day. I do remember geting the "Juice Man". They came every saturday and we ordered several different types of fizzy juice to get us through the week. They took the empties away and took the refund off the total price for that weeks order. I also remember very well, pre-decimalisation, when I used to get a "bar 6" ( a chocolate bar similar to a kit kat) and a packet of crisps for my school play piece for 6d (thats 3 new pence for those young uns). I must admit I do like my wine too though.

Well, I went to the local Scotmid to get my citrus vodka last week and there was none on the shelf. I asked the lady behind the counter and she informed me that they weren't stocking it any more. I decided to wait and see if I could possibly get it anywhere else before posting here about its no longer being available and guess where I got it... Scotmid on Church Street, INVERNESS............. knew the Highland Capital wouldn't let me down!
