WOW! - Google Street - this is amazing and scary

For those of you who don't know yet - you can now type in postcodes or addresses of folk from the major UK cities now, and have a look around their street and surrounding area. It's really quite easy once you get the screen and (even better) the mouse controls sorted out.

I've just spent a rather entertaining hour looking up my friends' postcodes and sending them pictures of their houses, along with comments on how badly they're keeping their hedges!

Don't know what I'm talking about?
Go here and type in your postcode, then if possible click on street view - you will be impressed.

Hold the left mouse button down and move the mouse about to look around, use the onscreen arrows to move up and down the streets, and finally, you can use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out of the picture!

Seriously though - I reckon I know a wee bit about this, so if you want any further info, put your queries here.

If you can't see your house, then I'm sorry, it's because you don't live in a main street in one of the top 25 cities in the UK. (apparently) ;D

This is great but it didn't bring up my actual street. Just the main street round the corner. Mind you, with the state of my garden still in process of being finished, it's maybe just as well lol.

How funny? I am not in the least bit bothered by this as i can see my street - full frontal (phnar) but i'm round the corner in cul de sac waaa!! Would be great if they caught an image of me goin oot for f*gs! Guess we're all gettin closer to our 15 minutes of fame!
