Just wanted to wish everyone the best for 2009. It feels like a bit of an anticlimax for me after the excitement of freedom in 2008 but my personal highlight will be my train's silver jubilee on 15th May. 25 years of the Highland Chieftain, from InterCity through GNER to National Express. Respect the 125! 
I've been away a lot between the folks, friends in York and of course up North and my computer has been running a bit slow so not had much chance to post lately but I hope everyone has had a fabulous festive season.
Santa did bring me a set top box, though he couldn't hang around to connect it up for me so my dad did it when they came up here on New Year's Day (I could have, but he does enjoy doing that sort of thing so I left him to it!) It's so good to have finally joined the Freeview generation. How many times are they going to rerun Friends though? I enjoyed it at the time but I wish they'd stop showing it all over and over again and make way for some Most Haunted (still just on the pay channels as far as I know) and maybe other comedies etc which only got shown once?
Aaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrgh, another cursor freeze, second one since I started this post. Just sat for almost 10 minutes again waiting to continue typing, this is so annoying and why I haven't been on much! Hoping to upgrade to Firefox 3 but apparently my version of Windows is too old and I need to upgrade that first, which definitely won't be free or easy.
