[glow=red,2,300][/glow]  Just wanted to post that I'm sooo excited - tonight feels like crimbo eve as a child (admittedly, i wouldn't have had a bottle of wine back then). Saturday afternoon heralds a return to tradition - i am erecting! All 6 ft 6 of it ha ha! Not had a tree for years cos i could never be bothered taking it down. Now i've went ott - but all v classic; red gold & glass deco with an Angel that made me cry when i bought her (ok - might have been her price tag) anyhoo, i'll be cranking up perry como, slim whitman, deano, frankie, elvis, pavorotti & Motley Crue whilst decorating. I know it will end in tears thinking of lost loves & those departed but hey- thats wot it's all about. If you can't add some emmental at crimbo, when can you? My tree has 340 lights, i want them to add sparkle to an old lady's life (that's my mum ok - not me!!) Saddest of all is that we have low ceilings - what have i done? Q to everyone - who or what would you most like in your stocking or sack on crimbo morning? |

I thought your 1st paragraph was from Carry on Christmas!  Anyway - good for you - I must admit that as my Amazon packages have started to arrive, I'm having to reluctantly consider going up into the attic to retrieve the dreaded Christmas Bag(s), and start the wrapping and card sending etc...  As for what I want for Christmas... hmmm... world peace perhaps, or an economic upturn.... what I'll get of course will be a pair of Marks & Spencer slippers.... ;D |

Got to add - just spoke to my rather elderly aunt tonight and she told me she was getting a nice new dressing gown from.....

Well at least she knew it was a blokes name lol. Paralytic & Wife & Mike & I just back from Caribbean cruise so not got tree etc up yet. Will need to get round to it tonight so I can have my usual few bacardi's with Christmas songs on, tree lights on and house lights off. Those who know me will know the score. Glad I did shopping before I went though.  |

Well hope everyone has had a good Christmas, and that Santa brought You what you wanted. ;D
Now it's time to see in the New Year.
Hope your 340 lights are still working Mrs Sixx and you mum is in awe.
We've been invited to friends to see in the new Year but it means I would have to drive, and can I really cope without a drink to see in the New Year! Maybe we'll come home early??
I've been working for Royal Mail for the last 5 weeks as a Postie and so far I've fallen once and been attacked by a dog. Oh and tripped over a badger(of the stone variety).
Hope this has made you laugh as much as the tread mill experience.
We've just been down the local pub for our dinner and a few large glasses of wine, ( and I'm working tomorrow) so it's onto the coffee now.

(I really want an advocaat( is that how you spell it?)and lemonade

Hope you got your advocaat & not just lemonade and that drivin was ok at new years!
Well done you for bein a postie - wish you'd cover eh6 cos i don't trust ours!
My big tree & all the lights are goin strong - now it's up we have difficulty beleiving it's actually that size - maybe they've lied to us about what 6ft 6 actually is? Seems alot smaller , hee hee!
