Had quite a good laugh this afternoon with a certain DM (not too well know for his patience ). He came up to me with a rather unusual problem with his works PC. Turns out he'd (rather exuberantly) whacked his hands down on his keyboard to show (rather flamboyantly) that he was fed up. That was fine until he looked up at his monitor and found to his horror that everything was now sideways! ;D Well - to cut a long story short - after much to-ing and fro-ing, I managed to find out that there is a secret combination of keys that when pressed in the right order, let you change windows sideways or even upside down! We then fixed his PC before going about the office doing it to some other people. I won't tell you how to do it yet, as this could be a fun thing to do in the office, especially on Friday afternoons! ;D P.S. Can anyone think WHY Microsoft have put this feature in? I mean they get a lot of criticism for making their products top heavy, over greedy with resources, and it turns out they have wee routines running that do this???!!?? The best suggestion so far is that it's for astronauts in zero G environments - but COME ON!!!!! ;D

hi there, i'm a wee bit bored now after nearly two weeks leave. so i thought i'd have a look to see if anything interesting is going on at the 'argyle neuk'. 'keyboard hammering' and the processes for signing on and looking for work gave me a laugh. i have no idea why microsoft would put in these features, but then i think you would expect that of me, eh Muz?? anyway to get a bit of peace and quiet i've zipped the kids up in a tent in the garden with a digestive biscuit and a cup of water(each), that should do them until morning at least!! do you think?? see you Tuesday.x

Great idea with the kids! - although I hope you weren't giving them MY cheesecake and tablet! ;D I'm covering your homeworking checks but apart from that and another round of motivational talks, we're all having a whale of a time! Just don't wish your holidays away as you'll be longing for the 4th July soon enough...

Hey, I'm missing out on these motivational talks! Any pearls of wisdom to be immortalised on the board for those of us who have already jumped ship?
